why cant I find my file?

I'm trying to send a file from my friends computer to mine. The file is in his shared folder, but when I search for it from my system I can never find it. I even made sure we were connected to the same servers and still I couldn't find it. Help!!

Make sure that you are connected to each other, not to the same server.

Try this:
Get the IP of one computer.
If you have Windows 98 or 95 hit start and execute.
Then type winipcfg and after <enter> you get the ip
of the one computer. Then type the ip of the other computer
into your Connections list of the LimeWire and then it should
work since you have established a direct connection.
