My files say they are "Downloading" but stay at zero!! I have been running Limewire 2.4 on Mac OSX for quite a while and never had any problems until a few days ago. Now, when I try to download files it says that they are downloading, but the progress bar won't budge and it stays at 0 kb. Does anyone know what's up or having similar problems? PLEASE HELP!!! I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Blondie |

zero progress I am having the same problem it can be downloading for days and moves about 2k if at all - I am pissed off because it has started happening just after paying for the damn thing ! I am also running OSX. I know it's not the registered version that is the cause though because I'm running the ad version on OS 9 with the same result. I'm running cable modem |

It sounds like there may be a couple of problems here. Joakim says that LimeWire reports no progress, than instantly jumps to 100%. This indeed sounds like a bug. Does it say "downloading from N hosts" before it completes? What's N? blondie11979: I can't tell if you're getting the same bug or just bad luck with really slow uploaders. How many hosts is LimeWire downloading from? Are you getting "0.0 KB/s" or just really small values? Can you see progress in the Incomplete directory? (Unfortunately LimeWire if LimeWire is filling in "holes" in the middle of an incomplete file, the reported size on disk won't change.) -Chris |

In my incomplete folder the files say that maybe 2 or 3 kb have downloaded, but no more than that. I haven't tried waiting to see if jumps to 100%. I am pretty sure that it has been downloading from numerous hosts at once. Sometimes 5 or 6, but I really am not sure. do you have any advice besides installing an older version? Thsnks for everyone's prompt responses, blondie11979 |

I wanted to let you know that I went to the page where you can select which version to download and I do not see an older version, like 2.3 that I could convert back to. How do I find a previous version? I think I would like to try to do that since nothing else seems to be working. Thanks, Blondie11979 |

I used to be able to download, nothing now! Two days ago I downloaded two songs from Limewire. It took me two more days to find a player that would work with a Mac OS 8.6. I got the two songs loaded into the player and they work fine. My problem now is Limewire won't let me download anything. It lets me search, click on the song title, but then states it's "already downloading", but no progress is shown where it usually is. I let it run for quite awhile 30 min. or better, but to no avail. no download. Help! I'm new to this and would like help. |
