i downloaded it but now it doesnt work i have a mac OS 8.1 and i downloaded limewire and it said it was successful but when i clicked on the limewire icon on my desktop, it said: "The version of Mac OS Runtime for java is too old to run this software. A newer version of MRJ is bundled with this installer and will be installed when you continue" i pressed continue, and then it said: " Installanywhere preparing to install......extracting MRJ installer" and when it finished it said there was an error: " whiile looking for MRJ installer en error occurred. Couldnt frind MRJ installer. It is possible that stuffit expander asked u for a location to put the MRJ installer. If so please run the MRJ installer from the location you chose." and i had to press quit installer. Then i clicked something that said reload so i did that but it just did the same thing. I dont understand what all that was and i dont understand why it doesnt work. Please help me!!! |

Hello! Do not install the MRJ included with the LW installer that one did not work for me either for some reason.Instead go to Apple's web site and download the latest version which is 2.2.5 and work on all language versions of Mac OS 8.1X.Go to Apple's Knowledge database Here! And do a search for article id 75097(you have to click the expert search link to search for specific article id's) there you will find the download as well as information about MRJ. When you have downloaded and installed it then run LW installer again but do not allow it to install MRJ instead choose no on that question. Now it should work.If not then also increase the installers preferred memory with about 50%.(Highlight the installer>go to File/show info/memory and here increase the preffered memory with 50%).If it still does not work then the installer must be corrupt.
