Default File almost finished downloading then.........

Any had this problem????

I have had it happen to me several times and it's a real pain in the ***.

Happens like this......I will be downloading a file....for example, it has happened to a several movies I have been downloading, These files are about 700-725 Megs.....The file will download......to about 90-95% then it starts all over again at 0%......even though the partial file is sitting in my incomplete folder.....with only 5-6Megs left to download, and it doesn't ever go to finish that file...just starts from the beginning.

This is really started to **** me off...I have a shitload of incomplete files this has happened too.....and I'm almost ready to give up on Limewire completely.

Ivan

Cool

Hello!

There is supposed to be a way to resume a broken download try this method:

Open your incomplete directory. Any partial downloads will be named something like this:
T-2732032-ThisSong.mp3
The number represents the size in bytes. Since LimeWire reports file sizes in kilobytes, the file size is 2,732 kb. The next part is the original file name. The T and dashes are just separators, so don't worry about them. Now, with the information you have collected, perform a search for the song name. Out of your search results, find the one that has the same names and file size in kbs. Files of slighty different sizes may work. Select the appropriate file and click "Download Any", and your download should resume from where it left off before!

LimeWire will automatically resume your file download if it can find the original source again. It has started from the beginning because it can't find the original source.

The procedure that Joakim recommends may help - but if the original source isn't available then it won't.

It doesn't always happen at 90-95%. That is just when it is most annoying.

The next version of LimeWire (2-3 weeks perhaps) may well improve this behaviour considerably.

Lightbulb Bogus Files

It is highly possible that the files you are trying to download are being hosted by a computer that is part of an effort to limit copyright violations by frustrating users.
