Downloading all files? I'd like to leave a Gnutella client running all of the time, and would like to mirror other audio collections. Is there a way to download all of the files from a particular LimeWire server? I've seen this feature on other Gnutella clients, but would like to stick with LimeWire. |

There's no central server of files. When you d/l from Gnutella, you d/l directly from the donor hard drive. There's only a router that helps you find donors willing to share files. There is supposed to be a way to d/l the entire Shared folders of a donor hard drive. You type "find files on [ip address:port]" in the Search window, and it gives you a list of all the files that user is sharing (NOT his entire hard drive, just his shared folders). However, I've never been able to get it to work--my assumption is more people are varying their ports, so this option fails (I could be wrong about that tho--I'm no Unix guru). I assume this method works, as other Limewire users have used it to d/l my entire shared folders. |
