Default downloads won't transfer to library, nor can i get any of them to launch

After i download, the downloads won't transfer to the library, nor can i get them to launch, even from the download screen. They used to do both. What have i done wrong, or what can I do to fix the problem?

The same thing happened to me. Everything seems to be going fine, and the download completes and everything. But when i go to the shared folder to open the file it's not there! I see it in the "downloads" section, it says "complete" but where is it? I've noticed that this happens most often to the most "popular" songs by the artist with the fastest connections.

Cool

Hello!

No one here will really be able to help you much if you do not tell us which version of LimeWire you are running and also which Operative System you use.

Have any of you moved or renamed the 'shared' folder?

Hello!

This problem is an issue both for Windows and Macintosh users of LimeWire 2.4X and it has happened to me 3-4 times(I'm using the Macintosh version). This is caused by the fact that the download and Shared directory suddenly reverts back to some strange place. For Macintosh users this is usually the System Folder(Macintosh HD>System Folder>Program preferences>Shared) and since you cannot play media files trough the System Folder nore share them from there nothing will work properly.Actually when I first installed LW 2.4.4 it suggested to me that the shared directory should reside there inside the System Folder for some strange reason and even if I manually before installation switched this location to where it is supposed to be(Macintosh HD>Applications(Mac OS 9)>LimeWire>Shared) the installer still created a shared directory there inside the Sytem Folder so now I have 2 Shared folders one where it is supposed to be and where all my files are and gets downloaded to and one un used inside the System Folder. But sometimes LW tends to revert back to the Shared folder inside the System Folder so I sometimnes have to redo the preferences for LW so that the correct folder is once again selected.

For Windows users its someplace else to see where do the following:

In LimeWire go to:
Tools>Options>Saving and also Sharing

Here under Saving you can see where your files gets downloaded and under Sharing where your shared directory are.You should change this to the proper place where you had it before when you installed LW.Preferably if you are a good Gnutella citizen both the Shared directory and Saving directory should be one and the same.
