| In means that the original host(s) are either no longer on-line or that they are too busy to accept a request. I don't think it has anything to do with your end. Unless, like BPMAX stated you have lost your connection. |

Killing the first download and resubmitting the request will also begin the download. It appears to me that the requery function has some flaws. |

| I have seen the same thing - I still do noty see it as a flaw... more like a frustrating 'feature'. Non the less I HAVE seen Requery lists as long as 50 whittle down over several days less than half that number. To me this means there are people out there that have ridiculous upload policies that deny access to all but the very very fortunate. I just don't dee it as a 'Limeware' issue... I believe 'Limeware' has taken a position that a more modest approach the amound of traffic it foists upon the network ... which is better for everyone. I still use bearshare and shareaza... and while they re-search more aggressively when a download request is unavailable the end results appear to be pretty much the same. I wish it wasn't so too. |
efield | July 4th, 2002 06:31 PM | I think LimeWire's automatic requery is every 45 minutes per the whole group of files to download and not for each download. So if you have five downloads in requery sent then another search is sent for any one file almost every four hours (5 x 45 min). If just one download was requery sent then five repeat searches for that particular download would have been sent out in that time. |
