What happens if you only replace the LimeWire.jar and the MessagesBundles.jar files?

Do you mean replace those two files without changing to creator and flie type? Otherwise, that's what I did. I replaced only those two files, and as you can see by the error, LW could not recognize your new file as limewire.jar.

Krieger88:
Wasnt LimeWire GPL? If it was, you HAVE to release the code.

Freiluft:
LimeWire runs everywhere.
You can start it on your mac too.

I just have to send anyone the code who requests it. And if I send somebody the code, I could even send it to him as screenshots of my editor in bmp format or handwritten on toilet paper.

- Oh and LimeWire doesn't necessarily run on any JRE, - you can easily make it incompatible to any older JRE.

Krieger, zigmal bitte!!!

Can't you test this out on an older version of Java so that Mac OS users can also use your fix?

Apple's MRJ for MacOS was designed to be compatible to Sun's JRE 1.1.8 but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Just testing on an older version won't do the trick. - I believe it's something to do with the way I packaged it. I'll try to find out why it won't run once I'm finished with my exams for this year (in about two weeks) but I'm not very confident.
