Default "News Group" Type Video files

Although they are fewer these days, there are still some videos being shared that have been split like they used to be to upload to binary usenet groups. This means that the files are almost identical in size and name. This also means that Limewire gets confused as hell, and I have yet to figure out a way to get Limwire to download *just* the segment I need. It keeps trying to be *helpful*, even if I do a search for the specific title, and wants to download any of the segments it would group together, even if I don't have the search results grouped. Once a download of one segment has begun, LW will not allow the download of another segment it thinks identical. I want a button that says, "No, I am NOT downloading ThisVideo4, I am downloading ThisVideo3!" Trying to download all in a "group" is also not an option, since sometimes there are ten segments grouped together and usually from the same host.

Will hashing take care of this problem, as well as a host of others?
