Default Unable to move item to library

I'm new to this and couldn't seem to locate an answer to this anywhere else. Am working on an iMac and often get the message that a file couldn't be moved to the library after a completed download. What does this mean? Anyone? anyone?

Usually you get the message before a download starts - but it is a little misleading as it shows the file at 100% completion.

This happens most often when the file you are trying to download contains a '\'. LimeWire and/or the operating system cannot cope with filenames with a slash in them.

As far as I know, there is nothing you can do about this except to look for files that don't contain the slash.

I've now found that this happens under other circumstances - It looks like a new bug.

Any information you can provide about when this happens would be useful in tracking down what is causing the problem.

I've now seen the problem first hand (once). Any new files added to the download queue failed with the 'could not move to library' error. Closing LimeWire and restarting it seemed to fix the problem.

I've just had this happen to me, when trying to download files with a forward slash '/' in the filename. I'm running OS X, on UFS, so I'm not surprised that it fails to work - just a bit of a pity that LW doesn't escape or modify invalid characters in file names...

Didn't have any problem getting files without a forward slash thereafter, and I've never seen file with embedded backslashes.
