Error message "could not move to library'

Any ideas here? Download window says it downloads 100%(although it happens superfast) but the status window reports 'could not move to library' - what gives?

could not move to library

I've had the same problem...it's happened with movie files (45 mb) and song files (2-3 mb). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it

Not move to library !

The problem is that you've tried to download a linux-hosted file.
it probably has a /directory/embeded_before_the_filen.ame
Some of the clients out there are serving directories.

And it's somewhat good that limewire does not interpret those
as \ on win32 system's, but it really annoys me that it doesn't automatically strip it out.

help! library error and another...

well, im having this same problem....except im not sure what you're talking about with all the "\" business. i just know that whenever i click on any song to download it tells me it could not move it to the library. is there any way to fix this? i'd really like to get some new songs! and also, it wont let me delete my songs from the library. it says "unable to delete the file. it may be in use by another application". any ideas about this one ??? if you know how to fix this, please try to explain it simply bc im not good with computers, unfortunately. thanks a bunch!

There is an additional bug beyond the illegal characters (such as \) that causes the 'could not move to library' error. Closing down LimeWire and restarting it appears to fix this problem.

If you have run out of disk space, this may also contribute to the problem.

When files are being uploaded from you - LimeWire holds the file open, preventing you from moving or deleting the file. Sometimes LimeWire holds a file open even if it isn't currently being uploaded - this is a bug. Close down LimeWire, move or delete the files, Re-open LimeWire.
