![]() I need some explanations please. I do my duty by sharing files, but the stats confuse me on the monitor screen. 1) I only allow 5 uploads at a time, with a max of 2 per person. When the same person attempts to upload 5 from me, I see the message "upload limit reached". Will the person ever actually get this file after one of their two uploads finish? It does not appear that they do, I have monitored uploads for the last 12 hours and once that upload gets a status of "upload limit reached" it is dead as dirt. 2) Many, many, many uploads in the last 12 hours said "uploading" however the upload never takes off. It remains at 0 kbs and never shows a status (percentage of upload). Seems like these remain "dead as dirt" also. It appears that uploading from me is certainly not in anyones favor and that is not what I intended. I wanted to limit any one person to two uploads at a time, and when one of the two was finished, AND if an upload slot was available, then this persons THIRD upload would begin. Am I wrong? |

![]() I'm not too sure about all of this either. I see alot of my downloads get stuck at 0kb. I hate to kill the download because sometimes I have a hard time finding the file again on a re-search and I hope it will pick up another person to download from. I tried once sending a chat message asking the other person to kill the upload on their end. I'm only tying up their slots. But I got no reply. Now, to your question of uploads... when I monitor uploads, if I see an upload stuck at 0kb, I watch it for a little while and then I kill the upload. I'm assuming that the other person doesn't lose it in their list. And I assume it will just go into requery until another is found or they will log back onto my computer and maybe start up again. I hope I'm not wrong about this. Does anyone know if this is a good idea, or bad? Thanks. |

![]() Well, it seems like no one has a concrete answer on these questions. Would it not be nice if someone from Limewire told the users (or even better actually put in DETAIL in the users manual all about upload status what they mean, and kept us informed about just what the messages we all get work and for what reasons? |
