Download Mac .sit- files on PC

I want to download Mac- files with my PC and then transfer them to Mac later on. I heard that .sit- files get corrupt on Pc, is this true? Just want to know before even trying.

No, they just might get corrupted if you unpack them on your PC. If you transfer the file to your Mac and unpack it there, everything should work fine.
