What the hell does "Requery Sent, Waiting183..." mean? Hey, i just dled Lime Wire and i am able to do a search and get results, but when it comes to actually dling a song it just says "Requery Sent, Waiting..."and then it counts down to 0 and starts the counting again. I am sure this problem has already been posted before, but be patient with me, i am dumb when it comes to computer problems. I read in a another post that if you live on campus, Gnutella could be blocked. Would that have anything to do with my problem? I don't live on campus, but i live right next to it, so i don't know if that could be the problem here. I dunno, i am just a fool that wants to download music. Someone please help me out! |

From the FAQ: Q: Why does LimeWire sometimes stop downloading the file I requested and display 'Requery Sent' in the status column? A: The files available on the Gnutella network reside on the computers of users that choose to share them. If the user sharing a file you are downloading disconnects from the network or becomes unavailable, your download will fail. If a download fails to complete, LimeWire will automatically attempt to find an identical file that is still available on the network and resume you download. While searching for identical files, LimeWire displays the status 'Requery Sent.' If this message is displayed it is likely that LimeWire will not be able to resume your download and it is recommended that you perform a new search and download a similar file. |

I Get this as soon as i login I have just installed LimeWire Pro and I get thar response as as I try to doiwnload something. The transfer never moves one byte of data. I have tried a large number of files so they cant all be that way. Can someone tell me if there is a setting that I may have misset? |

They can all be that way. There are more people trying to download files than there are sharing files. Most people who share files have a lot of people trying to get those files. Keep trying - you will eventually find a host that has a free upload slot and be able to download some files. If you are not sharing files yourself this may contribute to your problems - LimeWire incorporates an anti-freeloader feature. I have it enabled - download requests from clients that are not sharing themselves are refused. Mark |

Thanks, I will keep trying. I am sharing 137 musc files (haven't been downloading long). If people aren't going to allow people to build their libraries it becomes a closed system. Thanks for the help. |

You can add new content to LimeWire. I've been creating artwork and text files to share in addition to music. My library has over 1,000 files in it. Not bad for only 2 months on LimeWire. This won't be a closed network if we create content instead of just copying other people's files. |
