Here's my solution

1) Uninstall Limewire
2) Go to kazaa.com and download the latest version
3) Enjoy hassle free downloading!

If you think I'm talking rubbish then ignore step one and have the two progams running side by side. Find a file that's relativley large (say 50-100 meg if running a 56k) then download over the course of a few days, switching your PC off at night. I bet you anything that kazaa will win hands down!

Did that. Kazaa crashed my computer 3 times. Limewire rocks.

Except Kazaa crashed on me (WinXP Home, 300kbps cable) four times. Why does everyone whine about Limewire?? The results are better than other Gnutella clients by a fair margin, IMHO. It's the nature of the beast that downloads are slow/incomplete. What ever happened to a little patience?

I've had the same problem with both - downloading occurs at .2kb per sec!!! I am behind a firewall (with T3 Connections and downloading from T1 sources) but at this rate, it will take all night for 1 file! I modified the firewall parameters with LIMEWIRE but that did nothing!! Urgh!!!

If u really like 2 try somthing out, go to www.imesh.com, used it for a year now, and not once did i have a problem with it
