Why doesn't anyone 'upload' my files? Hi! I am sharing 543 mp3 files but, in all the time I have been using Limewire, have never had a single one 'uploaded'. I assume that if someone did try to upload a file I would be able to tell? If I look in my library it tells me that most files have had plenty of 'hits' (in the hundreds most days), but the uploads column always registers 0/0. Most of my files have been created by 'importing' in iTunes and the rest I've acquired via Limewire. I can't help but worry that, for some reason, people are unable to upload from me (because of something I've failed to do maybe?) and therefore think I'm a freeloader as I do get the constant 'requery' problem mentioned by practically everyone else on this board! I usually feel that I've had a good day if I've managed to download a mere 2 or 3 songs! I use Limewire at home and at work on an iMac running Mac OS 9 and a G4 running Mac OS 9.2 respectively. Neither is behind a firewall or running through a proxy server and both have broadband (ADSL) connections. What should I do? I do want to share my files... honest! ;) |
read the reply to the post "requery requery no downloads" postedon 10/7/02. That may help. I am having the same problem on my PC, running Windows 2000 Pro, but I think it's just b/c I am new to this and haven't built up my shared folder yet. Good Luck. |
