![]() i downloaded and installed version 2.6.5 when it starts up, it defaults my save directory to Documents and Settings/Owner/Shared. I have tried to change the directory in Tool/Options to Limewire/Shared but I get a message that says invalid directory. My earlier version always defaulted to this directory, what gives? also, when I changed the directory to My Music, it still saves to the above mentioned default. |

![]() Assuming you have the administrative rights on the rest of your machine and are not subject to profile restrictions. When you go to select a location for your stored files use the browse button to locate the folder --single click to highlight the folder then click OK you should now see the path in saved locations dialog box. (don't double-click the folder or this will open the folder and although everything will look ok it will not be set the way you want it. If want some information on how to configure limewire connect to gnutella network and do a search for: CBT - Understanding LimeWire Configuration Full Multimedia 1024x768.exe File Date/Time Stamp: 09/24/02 07:42p 18,220,665 Hope this helps http://www.leeware.com |

![]() I too have had problems designating a different directory for saving my downloads to other that the default. When I go to "Tools/Options/Save Directory" and choose another folder on a different partition such as "F:\My Music" I am told that it is "An Invalid Directory for Saving Files" which is puzzling as that is where all the files are that I share! However I can specify the folder "F:\My Music\Incomplete" and it is accepted! Now that makes no sense at all. I did not have this problem in the versions of LimeWire Pro before 2.6.5 but I have the same problem in the 2.7 beta as well. |
