Red search usually means its a Private IP address that should not be broadcasting accross the Internet. Go Tools Options Filters Hosts and enter 10.*.*.* ADD then 172.16.*.* ADD through 172.32.*.* (going from 16 upto 32 entered 16 times) then 192.168.*.* ADD 127.*.*.* ADD. This should set you up to only receive HOSTS from the Internet and no local Private IP addresses.

You don't have to block all of those hosts; you can download from private/firewalled IPs if you yourself do not have a private IP. I do recommend blocking 127.*.*.* since there is no point connecting to yourself.

True. I've been able to download from 192.*.*.* and 198.*.*.* and 10.*.*.*
But, very rarely. Based on other suggestions I've read, I only have 4 star results showing now so those don't show up. I can download a little more often now.

Thumbs up Blocking red address

Hmmm. No wonder I've been downloading the same songs over and over again. They were all on my local PC to begin with! That's why they show up in red?!! Still, if I get tired of a particular song, I just download another (from my own PC ... address in red) and listen to that one. Plus, it's quicker to download a song from my own PC to myself rather than from another internet user. All in all, sharing files with myself has been a joy -- I couldn't do it without Limewire in the past.
