Upload and hits How can i tell if people are really able to get my files. I have lots of hits, does this mean they are able to upload? I show nothing in uploads except 0/0. I am using cable along with an airport to another computor. It also shows lots of hits, By the way, no where in any of the instructions does it explain what "hits" even means. thanking you in advance. I really want to be able to share my mp3 and not only take. Wayne |
Same Here! I also would like to know why I can't seem to share. I see lots of querys, but doesn't ever seem to upload anything. I have all my options set to share. Maybe it could be my slow modem connection(28.8). Sorry, but that is all that is available in my area. I have over 600 music files and over 100 larger files. |

http://gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=17321 Hits means that and incoming search resulted in your machine returning a result file from your file index. For example search = software ===> (your_machine) ===shared files = software.file / music.file / document.file <==reply (I am sharing a file called software) = 1 hit for software "This means in english that if you are sharing a file that matches and incoming query - either partially or completely This file appears in the results window of the person executing the search. hope this helps. http://www.leeware.com |
Hits and uploads Thanks for the reply, i now understand "hits" but I still have no uploads. I have registered and posted a question on download/upload Problems as Therway. But the system is not working, no up loads, your advertisers need to know that your file shareing is failing on many many systems, (is it cable?) I have LimeWire Pro---Comcast cable and Mac 9.1 Many people don't care about uploads so they don't inform you. But it seems to be a serious problem for many systems that don't even have a firewall. |
I got your email thanks. I am trying to get access to a machine I can use to search the network for the files. Give me a few moments. |
