**Newbie question: Vendor (on uploads)
 

The Monitor screen includes a "Vendor" field with the upload information.

Besides the simple curiosity factor, does this field serve any purpose?

I've noticed, in general, uploads from BearShare get better speeds than those from LimeWire. Should I draw any conclusions from this?

And while I'm asking . . . what possible purpose does the "incoming searches" information serve?
