Re: Audio Problems on CDBurns Quote: Originally posted by thinkofaway Looking for help on why my music files playback fine from the computer, but when I try to burn a CD the audio is totally scratchy and distorted. Is it because I'm downloading MP3s and I should be downloading some other kind of file format? Help - I'm wasting alot of CD-Rs trying to record! Thanks! | If the files you download play fine on your PC then teh problem is not related to your DSL/ MP3s. Most likely your problem will be related to the speed at which you are trying to butrn your CDs... if you have say a 40x burner try burning at a slower speed... say 24x or even 16x. As a general rule I don't do anything on my PC that requires a lot of processor or drive access while burning a CD. Keep in mind when burning an audio CD from an MP3 file the computer must convert every file to CDA fromat prior to writing it so the machine will likely be pretty busy. |
