file not found I often see "file not found" error messages in the monitor screen although the file is definitely there and the folder is shared. Also does marking a folder as shared automatically share subfolders in that tree. Any help welcome as I'd like to end frustrations for fellow users trying to download from my machine. blackmorton Limewire newbie |
Maybe an authorisation problem? |
There is a bug with the current version of LimeWire where you will see "File Not Found" messages when your file extensions include any capital letters, so "Generic.MP3" stored on your system will result in a File Not Found error. This is fixed in the upcoming LimeWire release. |
I changed the mp3 extensions from upper to lower case and, would you believe it, files that previously couldn't be found started uploading. Thanks for your help. Blackmorton:) |
You are very welcome. As I mentioned earlier, this will not be a problem with LimeWire 1.5. Glad to hear it's working for you now. |
