The downloads haven't completed yet. The files in your incomplete Folder are just temporary files for uploads in progress. You can try to push the resume button to complete the download of those files.

What makes you think they are complete? If the filename is red, it means that there are still parts of the file that have not been completely downloaded. Don't be fooled by the file size. Some parts of the file may still be empty.

Then you would see a COULD NOT MOVE TO LIBRARY error, but I see nothing of that in your posting. Copying complete files to your Shared directory never fails silently.

Default Help Neo is right!

neo is right. I am here searching this forum and clicked on this thread because my finished completed files are not going to the shared folder. There are also not going to the incomplete folder. they are not going anywhere that I can see and the number of shared files that I am sharing does not increase by 1 when this download is "finished". 100 % finished.

Yesterday things were fine. I built my shared files from 25 to 35 yesterday no problems.

Today I downloaded 1 song. watched it finish. Saw that "sharing number did not increase".

I looked in shared - not there I looked in incomplete - not there.
I decided I was nuts.

So I downloaded another song and the same thing happened.

I am using xp and windows media player 9 is installed.

The only thing I did differently between yesterday and today is that I opened up windows media 9 and I sent it searching in this shared folder so that it could go and get 3 songs so that I could put them on a playlist in it. In otherwords I added these 3 songs to my media library but never moved them from the shared folder where they still are now. and playable.

What did happen is that the icons for all my songs ( in limewire shared folder in windows explorer) do look like the stupid windows media icons instead of the green that they were before.

I don't like it that WMA took that over but still it should not cause our newly downloaded files to not show up in shared folders should it?

I checked and these downloads did not go into any other area of my hard drive either. It is like they downloaded and then dissappeared. Please dont tell me they were incomplete files. I know the difference and that is not what is happening here...... can anyone help?

Default Also you can see:

For those interested, there is another thread ( which I will bring to the front, maybe I can put a link here)

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=18870

If it is not a link, copy and paste in your browser.

This thread is called "Completed Items disappearing" You can read this to discover if that is the problem you are having, before spending a lot of time, reading this thread which may be unrelated to your problem.

This is because I was going to try to take the mess to a new thread but we wound up keeping on here... and that thread fizzled.

Sorry about the inconvenience
