Downloading the same file over and over Why does it seem like 75% of the people that download from me try to get THE SAME EXACT FILE like 3 times in a row after they've already gotten it once. What the hell is wrong with you retards? Can't you see that you just finished downloading it? Am I the only one who has no problem telling whether or not a download finished successfully? So I cut them off the second time, and they just keep trying to reconnect. Learn how to use to software, or maybe check the directory that you save files to and you will see that it is already there, morons. Sheesh. |
i am not sure these people are morons. I think it is yet a 'wart' in the software that needs to be worked out. I think it may be an artifact of the smart downloader or the force resume function. I have noticed the same thing occuring on my machine as well (multiple requests qued and then downloads of the same file) |
I have seen that problem often from limewire users when i am using bearshare, i think the "download all and download any" buttons confuse them. Bearshare checks the target path and will give an "exists" error for any completed duplicates. |
Gnucleus Users I had this happen four different times all from Gnucleus users. One time they downloaded the same file 356 times before I come home and blocked him. I thought that it must be a bug in the program, either that or there are some really stupid people out there. |
