Default Uploading seems unstable

I am using LimeWire 2.8.6, it is running fine but for one thing.

Whenever somebody starts uploading, they seem only to connect for a short time, then lose the connection (the status then says 'Complete' ) then they will reconnect and continue the upload for a few seconds and then disconnect again. This goes on and on, but means I am getting very slow uploads and very unstable ones (they often never complete)

Can anyone shed any light on this?

it's just a display problem, fixed for the next version. the actual uploads are going along fine.

Angry upload still unstable

You say the problem has been solved but I don't see it from my computer. It continually uploads for 1 or 2%, fades out to 0. Anything I can do about this?

solved for the next version ... which is still in its testing phase. as long as you're using version 2.8.6, the problem is just a display bug. in 3.0 (maybe 2.9?) the display will be fixed also.

Talking I have a work around

I also am runing 2.8.5 and have the upload window showing what appears to be repeated uploading being reset over and over and nobody ever gets past 1 or 2%.

Well it certainly appears to be a "display related" issue and here is and easy fix.

Go to tool /options click on the arrow next to Uploads, click on Basic. UNCHECK the box that says "autoclear completed uploads" then click apply and then close the window.

By doing this the upload window showing the progress of the uploads seems prevent resetting the progress bar back to 0% over and over and actually will show the progress of the files being uploaded from your computer.

Give this a try and post back here to let us know your results of your attempted fix.

yup -- that's exactly the workaround that'll fix it. ... won't have to do that for long tho ... hopefully this next version will be pushed out soon. it's got a ton of ultra cool things.
