![]() I just went from 2.7.9 to the latest 2.8.6 version. I can do a search and select the titles I want. Then it will go to the Downloads window. It will start to d/l for a little while then it goes to requery sent, waiting 9 million seconds and never re-starts. Since upgrading, I have not been able to completely download a single file. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Thanks for the help. ![]() Last edited by SuperDadOf5; March 16th, 2003 at 07:55 AM. |

![]() Try stopping the download and then restarting it from the same source, that usually works for me. Also, here is one that everyone is going to say makes no differance to downloading but after I did it, it made a hugh differance for me: if you are behind a firewall, make sure sharing is configured to the IP your firewall is using. I found I could not only download pretty well most of the time after I did that, but I could of course share my files, too. It should not have anything to do with downloads, just uploads but my download performance improved big time once I did that. For all kinds of excellent advice, see the first post in this section, if yoy have not already about improving download/upload performance. katgirl |

AOL might be the cause of your problem. I think I read somewhere that they where using Packet Hound on their servers from Palisade Systems that analyses network traffic and can cut off downloads on Gnutella. Read more about it here: http://searchnetworking.techtarget.c...345253,00.html I dont know if it is true but it might explain your difficulties. You could always try a different litening port like 6355 instead of 6346-6347 and see if it helps any. One thing though if you where in the middle of a download and you suddenly find the download in Requery sent status then you should manually perform a manuall search with a phrase that matches the file name exactly and if LW finds alternative sources for the exact same file LW will attempt to connect to those sources and continue the download if successfull.

![]() I have read the download faq's, read the above thread (and others on this matter), unistalled and reinstalled and am on a mac 10.2.3 OS . Initially on the first install I could download - then started to get all in Reply sent, waiting(RSW) After reinstallation the first 2-3 dowload were successful and the rest are now in the dead zone of RSW. I see that others have the same problem though appearantly not ubiquitous. thoughts? holodocsa2 |

![]() I have very same problem, but with more history. I have paid for the pro version also. I have switched to the free bearshare and downloaded everything I wanted while the limewire was still in wait for reply. I have reloaded limewire and reviewed every setting I could find - no help. I am not an aol user, I have a dialup modem with 'connection only' to my isp. Last edited by rubberarm; March 25th, 2003 at 10:16 AM. |
