failed uploads

Under the library tab, in the upload column, there's two numbers (x/y). I am assuming that fhe first one is 'successful uploads', the second one is 'failed uploads'. Is that correct?

I am sharing from both a windows2k pc and a G4 (9.x) mac. It seems that on the mac, transfers get interrupted a lot more often and the share of 'successful' uploads is much smaller (approx. 1 out of 10). Has anybody come across similiar problems?
