No More Java VM at Microsoft... NE Help? After downloading the newest version of LW (to fix the 'could not move to library' error...) and starting the install process, I am prompted to go to the Microsoft website and download some Java program from there (LW will not work without it?) But the internet address I am given by the program redirects me to another MS webpage telling me that according to federal lawsuits, they are removing Java... so no download could be completed. I laready have another Java program, but not sure if I need to Microsoft version for LW to work correctly... I am running Windows XP and if anyone can help me I would much appreciate it... I am using a Java program i downloaded from Sun, if that will replace the version from Microsft withno problems then I won't worry about it. Thanks in advance for any help, Nick |
Yeah Microsoft and Java are at huge odds with each other, when I had problems with java based programs in windows I downloaded the newest java from java itself and only use their platform.... I know before when I used LW that this allowed me to use them. So try http://java.sun.com/getjava/ and see if this helps you out. |
