Question Unable to change Upload Bandwith setting

Today I've upgraded to LimeWire 2.9.7. Normally I change my upload bandwidth depending on if I'm on the computer and need it or if I'm asleep or away so I can always balance the best bandwidth to my personal needs and the needs of the community.

I'm on Cable and the slider is in the middle: 25.38KB/s. When I slide it any setting less than that or up to Unlimited and click OK to save, the setting does not take effect. The proof is in the upload speed of the user(s) connected (e.g. the total upload bandwidth never totals more than 24-26 KB/s). When going back to Options, the slider is back to 25.38KB/s.

System Info:
Win2k SP3 w/ all Pre-SP4 Updates
Java 1.4.1-02-b06
LimeWire 2.9.7
192MB RAM / ~32MB Free (after typical programs & limewire load)

Any Suggestions?

That's a small bug, you can expect it to be fixed in the next minor release.

Thanks for your input, ram's definately not the issue .. if i exit all programs which frees up about 80MB the aforementioned behavior is still present.
I'm looking at the statistics page and my upstream is at 18.377 avg, 22.050 curent. I've confirmed (today) through using KaZaA my upload is in excess of 45KB/s.
Typical CPU load while uploading & downloading (javaw.exe) 10-25% +/- 5%. I have (and always have) disabled ultrapeer. CPU load isn't a factor either for this behavior.

...

Appears I got my answer while typing this reply. What are the odds?

I've been seeing this same error with all the 2.9.x builds. But I think it's fixed now with 2.9.8. I've tried it once, so far, and it worked correctly.

Yes, it was a bug (just a stupid typo in the source code) introduced in 2.9.6 but it's fixed in 2.9.8.
