Default Share dir. will not appear, no downloading

Downloaded 2.9.8 Pro it seemed to work fine for a very short while, the was a "shared" folder in my library. Now, it is gone, yet it exists on my harddrive in the Limewire default folder. Try to add in File>Add folder to share and Tools, get invalid directory name instead. Also, will not download anything after a search. Hmm...help?

Are you using the new Windows MediaPlayer?

trap_jaw, So far i have tried the new versions of Winamp, Windows Media player, DivX and Real One. No luck yet on being able to instal a shared dir in the Library. or download. Thanks for replying. Interstingly enough it will install when I am offline but will delete itself when I get back online.

The new Windows Media Player all ways sets the "Shared" folder to read only if you play any files from this folder. That's why LimeWire can't save any files their and says it was an 'invalid saving directory'.

LimeWire must have write access in order to save files there.
