awaiting sources error
 

This is rediculous! I upgraded the the newest Limewire because the old one would not let me connect any more. This one lets me connect but everything that I search for and try to download keeps saying: "could not download, awaiting sources." Why is this happening and how can I get it to stop?
I would really like to be able to download songs again. I try to resume them and they will not do so, nor can i use the chat function it would seem. What is going on. Also, how can you tell what quality the songs are that you are sharing. I get plenty of hits but no one ever uploads from me. I wonder if they are bad quality. Please reply. Thanks.

Yes, the new version takes a little more patience to use. But the "Could not download" messages just replaced the "Requery sent" message.

thank you for your reply. I was wondering...I tried forcing my IP under preferences/firewall. Is there anything else I can do to possibly get some positive results? I am sorry I do not know much about computers or I would give you more to go on. I have a mac powerbook g3 and have osx. I also am using a wireless connection and am in a school location. I am using the free version of 2.9.8 basic. I hope this helps. Could you do me a favor and try to think of anything else I can do to actually get downloads instead of this message? Thanks for your help :)
