Default Most curious

That two people should ask the same question only days apart and that the second should not see the question clearly in the listings of threads.

However, be that as it may, the .sit suffix is a Stuffit Document File Name Extension, and it is applied to all documents compressed and transmitted for use on Macs.

Not Strictly true

you can dowload a free stuffit expander for PC that also does many other

file types and also PC files can be stuffed aswell I use stuffit 6 pro and it will

make autoextracting stuffed files, including disk images for a PC

(I've got a Mac and a PC and download on the Mac)

Default Thank you

Hi

My apologies. I have never owned a PC, nor used one on the net so my reflex assumptions tend to be that anything good must be exclusive to Macs. Thank you for taking the time to correct me.

you are welcome hope i've enlightened you and a few others

as i said i deal with a lot off cross platform files

and if you think that's bad you should try burning a disk on the mac for use on a pc , it can be a challenge especially if it is a disk image

but hey what's life without a challenge

LONG LIVE THE MAC

Default And finally

Before we drop completely off the radar of this topic, I'm surprised you have a PC given problems such as www.kuro5hin.org/story/2003/3/11/124732/806 and many others. But, for whatever reason, good luck in your dealings with the enemy.

David
