My BandWidth For DownLoading Is 1-9kb on my cable modem WHY

why is it that even on my 54mbps cable modem am i downloading at 1-9kbs!?? i only go through other cable connections at least often t1 lines! i only select four star rated downloadables!!! this is serious!! and will prevent me from useing this programe ever again if it continues

Your hardware setup may not allow all that bandwith to actually go to your computer. In addition, Limewire is not responsible for your personal speed while on Limewire. If it's going slow, it's because you're downloading from someone who cannot upload at the speed you'd like to download, or your bandwith is being used by other activities, quite possible.

*chuckles* I don't think your cable modem is "54mbps".

Could you please post your specs as well.

Question how do i allow higher download rates (kbps,mbps)

first off thanx alot for responding i greatly apriciate it!

how do i allow my hardware setup to acomadate my potential bandwidth (what do you mean by that)?

what is my personal speed while on lime wire? (i have it recognize me as cable/dsl already

how do i tell if the people downloading can acomadate my perfered download rate?

what is the average download rate you achive?

my specs are
lw3.1 running as whhhaaaa! mac osx 10.2.4 mac g4 power book 1ghz, cable modem, air port wireless network hub
