before, i could always click on a downloaded music file from limewire and it would show up and play on itunes, now, i am finding that it will not switch over to itunes, and instead plays on it's own system. How can i make my limewire downloads appear in my itunes library?

There is a pref to use the limewire player--or not. There are other ways to map audio files to iTunes that depend on whether you use OS X or 9. Which do you use?

Just drag the files you've downloaded directly into the itunes window, on a playlist, your library, whatever, and it'll play there.

Here's some info from the OSX help menu (wasn't easy to find!)
"Changing the application that opens a file"
"You can select a different application to open a file. You may want to do this if you prefer using a different application or you don't have the application used to create the file.

Select the file in the Finder and choose Get Info from the File menu. Click "Open with" in the Info window. Choose an application in the pop-up menu or choose Other to select an application not in the pop-up menu.

To change the application that opens all documents of the same type and created by the same application as the current document, click Change All."

just make sure you choose the OSX iTunes--you might have the OS9 one on your machine too.

There should be in OS 10.2.* if you click on the .mp3 you want to change. There is no "open with" on icons that aren't documents, like hard disks and applications.
