Just downloaded some new skins. I am having a hard time with getting them to apply.

Do I need to put them in a root directory or something?

On Mac OS X, they are in User-Library-Preferences-Limewire-themes. For OS X they need to go there.

Search for themes on your comp and try to find the folder themes in a limewire preferences folder. Best bet is you put them there.

On Windows XP, place the files in your
C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\.limewire\themes directory
The other skins are there as .lwtp files

If you accidentally downloaded them as .zip files,
just remove the .zip extension and leave as .lwtp

Restart limewire and they should be there.

on windows ME u have to go to c:\windows\profiles\(user)\.limewire\themes ... just thought i would post that since i was confused for like a week about where to put the new skins....

Just FYI, the next version (3.3) will automatically do all this, and if it notices you're downloading a theme file, it will ask if you want to switch to the theme when the download ends.
