Clients returning paths in query hits cause crashes ? See this thread: http://www.bearshare.com/forum/showt...361#post184361 The bearshare staff claims that if they include the pathnames in their query hits, limewire users wont be able to download from bearshare anymore. Is this true ? Mutella also returns pathnames in their query hits, can you guys successfully download from Mutella clients ? |
Yes, this is true. LimeWire versions up to 2.8 (I think) weren't able to parse that kind of queryhits. Recent versions should be able to handle them although LimeWire still doesn't recognize the pathnames and will consider the whole name to be a filename. I don't know if LimeWire can download from Mutella, because it's been a while since I have seen a result from Mutella for the last time. |
okay so when will the majority have upgraded to >2.8 ?? Its a pity that such a great feature cant be implemented because of this.. |
