Cannot open downloaded files I have a very weird problem.... I can download files (not always very easily, but that's a different matter) of different kind, such as zip, sit, etc. but everytime I try to open them, they launch the program Limewire itself. In the General Info it tells me that they are Limewire files, but how do I manage to actually view the file itself? In the Limewire program I cannot find a way to open the actual file. Thank you |
What OS are you using? |
For zip files, open the program you currently use (Winzip, PKzip, etc) and set it as default. Ivan In the dark we make a brighter light |
Limewire Documents Don't Open I am getting the same problem lately. Every file I download, has not problem downloading, but ends up a dud, and can't be opened by any means. They are all unknown file format labeled "Limewire Document" or just "document" in my shared file. I used to be able to use an Ituner application to convert them to mp3's. On the rare occasion when a file does open, it just takes me back to the Limewire Search Screen and nothing happens. I want to upgrade to LimeWire Pro, but don't want to waste my money if downloaded files cannot be opened. I am using Mac OS 9.2 and Mac OS 10.2. |
for OS 9, see here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=22698 for OSX, click once on the file in the Finder, and set the default application to open the file with the Get Info command. |
