Default trying to put a song on LimeWire

I've been trying to put a track onto Limewire and failing. I burned it from a CD to apple mac's itunes and then converted it to an mp3 file. I then added the folder to share to the shared section of limewire. I then moved the mp3 manually from the folder it was in to the shared folder. Its in the shared folder now.
the only problem is that when I do a search on the track in the shared section of LimeWire nothing turns up- how do I get round this problem?

In the Library Pane you can show/sort the Uploads column of your shared folder(s). The number shows completed chunks/attempted chunks uploaded. The hits column is also useful--if there's any number above zero, your files are being seen.

In Tool->Options->Uploads->Basic you can turn off the option to always clear completed downloads from the Monitor Pane. Turn it back on later to help reduces memory demands.

On OSX, you also have the options to look at a wider variety of statistics in the Tools Menu.

cheers.

[interesting, Peerless. no other client you've seen either. When I started with p2p, it didn't make sense my files didn't show in searches]
