Need More Sources Why do i get the "need more sources" for 99% of the stuff i try to download on Limewire? It is starting to become irritating!!! I upgraded to Pro, installed ADSL and i still get this poxy message all the time. |

Poxy! LOL--haven't heard that for a while. Anyway, if you are firewalled, that cuts down the chances. If the hosts are firewalled that really cuts down the chances of finding a non-firewalled souce (you can only connect to a source if one or neither of you is firewalled). So . . . the net result is that in addition to hosts going off-line, being firewalled and busy, many downloads quickly run out of sources and voilà! The poxy message. Try to download from files with as many sources as possible. You can repeat the search to refresh the list, and use the 'find more sources'/Resume button to help. Sorry if this is not much help. The bottom line is to learn which files have the best chance of completion. The code keeps getting better, but more people need to share. |
