"Scratches" when paused downloads

Occasionally I am getting noise on downloaded MP3s which
sound like scratches - ie interuptions to the normal sound.

Initially I thought this was the copy I received was faulty but
this seems to be happening more and more. I think it is occurring when downloads are not completed in one go - and the restart
mechanism is invoked.

I suppose this might be a problem with Limeware (3.6.15 Pro) or the other users Gnutella software.

I have changed the Days to Keep incomplete to zero to avoid
future problems.

Has anybody had similar problems or know of a resolution ?

Scratches

Hi I have been having the same problem. Every time that I download a song everyone of them have the scratches at a minimum of three per song. I am becoming very irritated and I can't get a response from anyone in support. If you have found a solution yet please tell me.

You can set a filter to only accept high quality files. The higher the star ranking the better the quality of the song. Also the higher the bitrate the higher the quality. Try downloading the latest beta(3.7.8 I think). To find out if it is the song of LW, you could try playing the song with WinMedia Player. I hope this helps.

scratches

On top of this mess I have been given another users name and password I found this out when I posted this thread. I am not a 54 year old male from NC. I am a 23 year old Female from TX. Since the payment has not gone through on my banc account I am going to stop payment and delete the software from my computer.

You need to get your computer some professional help. It sounds like is has some serious issues.

And it is not LimeWire's fault.

The noise or scratches comes from files modified by RIAA to discourage users from downloading NEW and POPULAR mp3 (eminem, brtiney spears and other popular loosers like that). There are much more spoof files on Kazaa than Lw right now. Lw can't do anything against that, only the users can help by deleting those files from their shared folder.
