![]() Hi, My limewire client (latest version for Linux) sits behind a hardware firewall. It is on an RFC 1918 subnet , 192.168.x.x. I am able to download files fine from other users, but I wish to share files back to the community. I have opened up port forwarding on the firewall for udp and tcp port 6346 to the client. After a day with the software left loaded, I have not seen a single upload. Now I have searched on this forum and I have seen many references to FW's. but they appear to be personal ones. So my questions are: Will Limewire work happily behind a HW NATing firewall for sharing? To allow people to get files from my setup, do I have to open any other ports? I look forward to your replys. Thanks Nick |
