They just don't open
 

I recently reinstalled limewire on my mac. I use OS 9.2

I can not open any fully downloaded file. All files all appear as generic limewire files. When I click on them from anywhere in my computer it only opens limewire. The launch command does not respond either.

sounds like you need to rebuild the desktop. see here for some links http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=24788

Resetting the quicktime control panel preferences should also help.
