could not move to library is still happening certain DL's are working that do not contain hypens in them. this didnt happen until i upgraded to OSX and the latest version of limewire. what should i do? |
clean out your incomplete folder and post back if that helps. |
i cleaned out incomplete folder and it didnt do anything. |
OK--more info needed. Which OSX and LimeWire versions? If it's just an OSX permissions problem, find your download folder on your hard drive, click once and see what "Get Info" says. You should show as the "owner," right? btw--if you have just upgraded to OSX from (OS 9?), a Software Update/Safe Boot/Repair permissions is probably a good idea. The links for this are here cheers. |
I just signed up with limewire this weekend, so I can only assume that I have the most recent software. I successfully downloaded 18 songs, and I am now having the same problem with not being able to move the songs to the library. I cleared out my incomplete folder, and the problem continued. edit - this is happening on every song I try to download - at least 45 completed downloads so far have not been moved to library. |
Did any go to the folder set in the options as the "saved" folder? If not, try setting a new folder to save downloads. |
Thanks for the help. I tried that, and the old problem has quit occuring. Files are storing successfully to the library, but they are not showing up in the folder it says they are. I have no idea where they're going. |
From the looks of things, my limewire software thinks it's successfully storing these files to my folders. The songs are successfully moving to the library, but the same folder that limewire shows as having all these songs to share shows up on my computer as empty. How do I transfer these files out of my limewire library into a place I can use them? |
If they show in the library folder, click once on it and use the "Explore" button. Or else, just search your hard drive for the name of a recent file to see where it is stored. Does your computer operating system have a help program? Try it using "how do I search for files?" |
