![]() Hi I have limewire pro and have been having a blast finding and downlaoding songs. I have a few questions and even though they are probably silly to some of you i think the onlt stupid question is one not asked. Ok first what does it mean when I get a box saying corrupted files? I saw 1 suggestion that you set it so the box doesn't come up for these, does that means it's safe to download these? Second? If a download doesn't complete,i.e. get knocked offline or soemthing on my end, does download resume where it left off or should I start it new? And I'm having some skipping on my downloads when played on limewire, I saw were someone said don't use the limewire player but another and it might not do this, (i gotta figure out how to transfer them to another player, my HP puter has recordnow! installed on it to bunr cd's with) If I hear skipps on the limewire playback will they be on the cd i burn or are they just from that player? Ok ya'll stop laughing at my ignorance ![]() Thanks for any and all help ![]() Sweetrascal |

![]() LOL! (not at your questions, but the fun way you presented them ![]() The corrupted files should automatically identify which part is corrupted, and redownload that part in the new LW 4 series (thanks to the work of opensource developers like verdyp and the LW team). So whatever you decide to do with the warning box doesn't really affect the file. Did the file eventually show "complete"? 2--if a file stops, just click the resume button, or else right-click on the original search tab and choose "repeat search." If new sources can be found (even days later), the incomplete file will resume where it left off. tip, though: too many incomplete files can slow down LW, so try to keep the incompletes to as few as possible. 3--look for posts by peerless (find one of his posts and click the magnifying glass)--he knows the music score on Windows software better. Try this one for starters http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...9060#post89060 Cheers--now go ahead and laugh at my answers ![]() |
