Many Sources, Slow Downloads All right heres the deal, too often I am finding files where there are like 40+ people that have it, yet when I go and download it's going like 1k/sec when I have a T1. Is there anything I can do to fix this like in my preferences or amI just screwed? Please reply to pedersen_nick@qwest.net and thank you for any help you can give. |
What are you giving your email at forums for? Are you crazy? Or maybe it's not your email? Anyway, the speeds depend on the number of hosts you are dlding from: the more the better. Also, it depends on what kind of connection the hosts have and how busy they are at the moment you click the dld. Give it a little time to connect properly to more hosts, thus increasing dld speed. Finally, it depends on how many active dlds are up: if you have too many dlds that are currently dlding, then the overall speed will be lower because you connect to less hosts for each dld. |
Salut, look in options -- error reports --- see an exemple, look for the line Received incoming this session: if it is false you are firewalled on port 6346 and this causes much slower downloads as you can't download from other firewalled users and they compose 70% of the network. If it is true, there might be other solutions as pointed by Murasame. Bonne chance |
