![]() I'm what I guess You might call an "ultra-newbie,so I hope I don't insult or annoy anyone with my clumsiness. I'm trying to download "limewire", have been for about two hours with a cable modem. Is this normal? How long (approximately) might this take? Anyone........beuller... |

![]() It should not take nearly this long on a cable modem unless you are not getting very much bandwidth. What transfer rate are you getting? The LimeWire installer is about 6.7 megabytes, which should usually take about ten minutes to transfer over a cable modem. I recommend trying the different download links from our web page to see if the bottleneck is on the server end -- maybe the server you tried to download from is experiencing problems. Otherwise, there may just be a lot of people in your building or block using their cable modems at the moment, which can slow things down. Good luck. |

![]() Mr Fisk, I Gretly appreciate your help. Unfortunately, i still can't seem to download limewire. i'm getting error messages, cannot access messages, and a window that says Limewire is downloading. No matter what i do,this window will not go away.It won't even let me shut down or restart my computer. I hit the restart button on the pc, and the window came back. This thing is starting to worry me. Anyway, sorry to be such a pain, I just heard some really good things about Limewire and i want to use it and register. |
