Limewire Freezes

Can I have two seperate searches going at the one time,When I have the Down load File with one search listed can I search for some other file,I tried this and it kept freezing Lime wire.
Now the Buttons and slide bar on the side have dissapeared,But a few are slowly Appearing.
Can I also open two limewire Windows for two different Download types and if I can what happens if I reopen the LimeWire Programe which Search appears on the search screen
