skips & version of Limewire
 

All the music I download skips like a scratched CD. Also how do I find out what version of Lime Wire I have and what is the most current free version?

Try finding a different version of that song. And to find the latest version check the home site. Check it out: LW Home Look for a beta version if they have one out yet. Good Luck.

On a Mac you just click "About Limewire" under the Limewire tab and you have it. On windoze there's probably something somewhere but I have no idea, sorry.
As for the music skiping, try playing the songs using another player: it's a commonly known fact that LW's ownn player isn't exactly top notch (it's not meant to be top notch: it's just there so that you can preview your dlds)

Hey, what are the differences in the beta version?

Quite alright, for windoze just go to help>about and look to the top of the box. There is no beta version out yet, 4.0.5 is the latest for now. And I wish I did but I don't know what will be different in the upcomeing beta version, but I don't. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out. Good Luck.
