![]() Hi, I created a new dowload directory, but kept the old one. Then after a while I noticed, that a new Incomplete folder was created in the folder with the new dowload directory. However he stills stores incomplete files started there in the old Incomplete folder. My question now is, if I can move the files from the old one to the new, without loosing them so that their dowloads will still be continued? Last edited by Amok; June 4th, 2004 at 03:04 PM. |

![]() Btw a second question has aroused my interest: When no results have yet shown, while performing a search, I can add this search to my "Wishlist". So what can I do with that? And before I forget again: When I share a folder via Limewire, does that include subfolders? Last edited by Amok; June 4th, 2004 at 03:09 PM. |

![]() the key files in the incomplete folder are the downloads.dat and downloads.bak. Think of them as the master index that LW uses to keep track of the progress of the incomplete files. So, if you want to try using ONE of several "Incomplete" folders at a time, just make sure the dat and bak files are also included with whatever set of incompletes you would like to try to resume. btw--if this causes problems (incomplete files have a limited life as set in your options), be ready to just trash the incomplete folders: LW will create a new one if necessary. Generally it's not very useful to mess with the incompletes--just much better to start fresh. ![]() --All subfolders (except those called "Incomplete") are shared. --wishlist: try and see. Sounds like you are having fun with all the power of LW. Enjoy while you can because I suspect LW will start getting more streamlined and much of the power will not be a visible in futeur releases. ![]() |

![]() Alright, thx. I checked the dowload.bak and dat in the old incomplete folder, and they havent been changed for a week, probably when I created the new dowload directory. So theoretically only the ones in the new incomplete folder are of any relevance, so if Id wanted to use the old download folder again, I suppose I could just change the directory back again, copy all incomplete files including the bak, dat ones back to the old incomplete folder and it should work, right? Thx for ur enthusiasm In me discovering all the power of Limewire, but I sort of havent figured out, where or how to access this wishlist, So could u help me on this one too? |

![]() easiest thing to do with the two incomplete folders would be to Quit LimeWire, just copy the one you don't want to another location, and move the one you want to try to the proper location. You can also set the option for the number of days to keep incompletes to more than 7 days. Don't try moving them when LimeWire is running, of course. The wishlist just saves a search tab as a download. Click on any search tab and hit the wishlist button. Cheers |
