limewire used to do that -- move completed files to specified folder -- but it isn't now for me. since i upgraded to 4.0.5 (can't remember from which version) (mac os x).

anyway now i have some completed files mixed up with partially downloaded files which is a bit annoying because i'm not sure what's completed in there.

how do i tell limewire to move completed files and specify a folder to move to?

thanks for the suggestion but no, i'm still sharing files -- i can see people downloading in the monitor.

there must be a way of specifying the completed files folder somehow? i can't remember how i got that previously but i definetely did, and now i can't see a way.

in the prefs sections saving, there's the 'save directory' setting which i have set to a folder called incomplete -- that's where the partially saved files are being saved to. fine. but when they're finished they stay there. how can i specify a seperate 'completed' folder and have limewire move finished files there?

No man, what is specified in the Preferences under saving is where the completed dlds will end up. LW creates an Incompletes Folder (normally somwhere in proximity with the Shared folder) and stores the Incompletes there, but under Preferences you can specify the shared folder, not the Incompletes' one.
Now then, what you have to do is to, either create a Shared folder somewhere and then specify that as the Shared folder in LW's prefs, or try finding the old Shared folder (if there was one to begin with) and respecify that one in the prefs.

oh yeah, thanks. -- they should have made that a bit clearer. there should be prefs for an 'incomplete folder' and a 'complete folder' aswell as the extra folders you want to share.
